Who can take the class?
There is no age minimum for BCT-I, however minors must be accompanied by a parent and must be able to handle the mature nature of the concepts reviewed in the class. We want everyone to feel welcome, but please consider the following before scheduling a class.
This course is designed for:

Classes are held at the VFW Post 6701 in Washington NJ, however arrangements can be made for us to come to you.

Classes will primarily be held on Saturday and Sundays. Start times will vary according to group needs. In the future, additional classes and times will be added.

additional information
- All instructors are law enforcement officers and/or combat veterans.
- This course includes both lecture and interactive opportunities to practice what you're learning - all equipment will be provided to you.
- We must have a minimum of 4 participants signed up in order to hold a class. If we do not have enough participants, we will reach out to you at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled class.
- Must provide 24 hours cancellation notice in order to receive a refund.

If you are going to take bct-II, the live-fire qualification course, you must pass the nj use of force & firearms test first.
HOW TO TAKE THE NJ USE OF FORCE & FIREARMS TEST?
This test can be administered at the end of your BCT-I class, which you can set up when you schedule.
- It will take an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- 40 questions: Must score at least 80% to "pass"
- Additional fee - see "rates" page
- Please study the below documents (NJ Statutes Title 2C: 3-4 through 3-9) prior to taking the test.
